Here we will cover how to install the 1/2 x 20 adapter and prevent telescoping shroud from sliding.

Grab a pair of needle nose pliers or dowel pins that can fit in the two holes on the front end cap. (Jewelry pliers in the pic)

Use one hand to hold the shroud, then with the other hand place the pliers/pins in the front end cap holes, carefully press in then turn counter clockwise. It should be able to come loose without using much force. Once broken free finish unscrewing from shroud by hand.

Now remove the shroud from the rear end cap by unscrewing it. This is where you will be able to make the adjustment to prevent the shroud from sliding.

Once removed, the bushing that controls the shroud extension will be exposed. Make note of the alignment pin on the bushing. Use a 2.5mm allen key to loosen the grub screw on the top of the bushing.

On the front of the rear end cap there is a pin hole for the alignment pin. Make sure the alignment pin fits correctly in the pin hole by pushing the bushing back. Then tighten down the 2.5 mm grub screw.

Screw the shroud back on and you are done. Now you can add the FX Crown 1/2 x 20 UNF Adapter and your suppressor!
